Membership
In the New Testament it seems clear that the Church was a Christ centered, Christ ruled brotherhood of which every believer became a member through his personal commitment to Christ as his Lord. In an effort to reflect the priority of commitment to Christ being the basis upon which we become members of the Church, we have chosen not to have a formal membership at Dungeness Community Church, but invite all who consider this their "church home" to involve themselves freely and fully in our fellowship. We think this allows us to focus on the primary issues in our relationship with God without making distinctions or creating division over secondary issues (e.g. frequency of the Lord’s Supper, spiritual gifts, mode of baptism, etc.).
Covenant of Fellowship
1. Having been led by God the Holy Spirit to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord, and
2. Desiring to unite in the worship, fellowship and testimony of that portion of Christ’s spiritual body known as Dungeness Community Church
3. Having read the Statement of Doctrine of the church, and understanding it to be the basis of its belief and teaching, and standing in agreement with the following Core Values of the church:
We value full devotion to Jesus Christ as head of the church, and to God the Father to whom all glory and honor is due. (2 Corinthians 8:7; Ephesians 4:1-7; Philippians 2:1-11; Colossians 1:15-18)
