Children
We believe that children are a vital and important part of healthy life in the Body of Christ. We believe that children should be both SEEN and HEARD!
Our ministry is for the children. The goal is not to keep them quiet and occupied but to lovingly and intentionally encourage them to know and experience a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We have the privilege of working with both volunteers and a church staff who strongly believe in ministry for, and to, children.
There are two major components to children's ministry at DCC:
SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAMS
10 am Sundays and dismissal for classes is at 10:30 am.
Sunday School: Children two years old and above begin the service participating with their parents in a time of praise and worship. Before the sermon begins the children are dismissed to go to their classrooms.
Nursery: There is a well baby nursery for children 0-23 months every Sunday morning during the service. It is staffed by caring volunteers with a desire to see your children have a safe, caring and loving environment in which to enjoy themselves. Adjacent to the nursery is a room for nursing mothers or to lay down a sleeping baby. Pagers are available for those parents who are more comfortable with being called if their child needs them.
Two through Three years: This classroom is a time of transition as little ones mature. Here the children will share in playtimes where they interact with their teachers but they will also hear a story, possible learn a song or two and begin to learn simple, basic Bible truths. We strive for consistency in a loving, caring, fun environment that gives these little ones security as they learn and grow.
Four years old through fifth grade: Children this age attend a classroom where they will hear a Bible lesson; possibly participate in activities, crafts, or games; learn some verses; and/or share in a prayer time. The object in the classroom is to convey truth in a fun and memorable way. The New International Version Bible is used in the classroom.

For those who attended we would encourage you to check out wonderzone.com. This is a children's program through Child Evangelism Fellowship. You can find out more information about it through the local C.E.F. office.
